URTH CLOTHING COMPANY is a Los Angeles-based streetwear brand cultivating pieces exclusively from sustainable fabrics. We believe polyester and nylon don't belong in fashion, and especially not clothes that rest on bare skin.

The inspiration for Urth came in 2020, during the heart of the Covid Pandemic, when we all believed two weeks was enough to get through the strange new world we had entered. Our founder, Nkechi “Cash” Ubabuike, had been working in the Entertainment industry when everything came to a halt, and the mandatory work stoppage was the first time in her adult life where there was nothing to do and nowhere to go. She was compelled to stop working and that time brought much self-reflection. The desire to develop a simple hobby led to research about organic gardening, grew into a curiosity about regenerative agriculture, and blossomed into the determination to explore sustainable clothing. Like we said, a “simple hobby.”

For UCC, sustainability isn't a gimmick. We're committed to ONLY using 100% organic fabrics in our collections both now and in the future. Our goal is to push streetwear, and the entire fashion industry, into a more eco-responsible direction. Our latest collection, CITIZEN 2.0, features caps and hoodies crafted from 100% organic cotton.

The collection asks what it means to be a global citizen in a changing world. At Urth, we believe citizens are active in their communities. They consider what’s best for the collective, not just the individual. And most of all, we believe citizens belong wherever they are, and that they get to define belonging on their own terms.
